The other weekend, my team drove to Yosemite NP to go camping for our two days off. It’s pretty difficult to coordinate all of our schedules, but we finally were able to get some time off and spend some quality time together. (Yosemite is about an hour and a half from Kings Canyon *hint hint for those of you looking for incentives to come visit me*).
A lot of laughs, plenty of s’mores, and good fellowship sums up the trip pretty well. We woke up at 4 am to watch the sunrise, which was definitely worth the endless yawns that followed. A healthy amount of s’mores were had for breakfast and then we headed over to Curry village to start our day. We were only there for one full day, and we were about to go to Lower Yosemite Falls and Vernal Falls before it started getting dark. For the record, I am so thankful that Kings Canyon isn’t as crowded or as well known because it’s impossible to find parking at Yosemite and there are always heads blocking the pictures you try to take…
We also had the opportunity to meet up with some of the ACMNP Yosemite team, which was such a blessing. To be able to talk to other people who were going through similar struggles in their community and ministry was both a comfort and a great opportunity to be able to encourage one another.
Please enjoy this fresh supply of pictures from our trip! (the rest of the pictures are under the “picture” tab on the home page)
